Fernanda Rossi

Best known as the Doc Doctor, Fernanda Rossi isThe Independent'ssenior contributing editor. Fernanda is also a filmmaker and story consultant. She has helped filmmakers craft the structure of more than 150 documentaries, fiction scripts, and fundraising trailers. She worked with filmmaker Leslie Iwerks on Recycled Life, a film that was nominated for a 2007 Academy Award. Fernanda also speaks frequently about film at lectures and seminars, and she has frequently served as a festival juror and grant panelist. Fernanda also writes the bimonthly column "Ask the Doc Doctor" published by Film Arts magazine (formerly Release Print) and is the author of the book Trailer Mechanics: A Guide to Making your Documentary Fundraising Trailer.
