Description: The International Film Festival Department (“IFF”) in Human Rights Watch’s (“HRW”) New York office is seeking a consultant to manage logistics for both the New York and London International Film Festivals.
The consultant will be responsible for coordinating film submissions, film selection process, coordinating text and images for the Film Festival program, oversight of Festival interns, and assisting with outreach and other logistical aspects of the Film Festival. The position timeframe begins immediately and is expected to continue through September 2009.
Qualifications: There is significant project overlap so the abilities to prioritize, multitask and work collaboratively are essential. Applicants should be well-organized, self-motivated and reliable, with a strong interest in film and human rights. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, basic HTML, Photoshop and the ability to conduct deep internet research required.
